So what is it that makes this skiing area so special? The variety of different ski slopes ensures, that the whole family can enjoy skiing there. Whether you are an absolute beginner, a real pro or skiing with your family, the big offer of different slopes ensures winter fun for everyone. 140 km of blue slopes, 112 km red ones and 15 km black ski runs make this skiing area so diverse and therefore very popular with guests visiting Austria in winter.
The "ski circus" round alone is an impressive route system. Members of this round are the villages Saalbach Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn. Added up, the slopes of these 3 villages alone come to 65 km and approximately 12.400 meters of altitude - thus making it the possibly longest tour in the Alps. But also the other 4 routes combine pure winter joy. The "Saalbach" round comprises approximately 19 kilometers and includes the famous slope of the Alpine Ski-WM of 1991 on the Kohlmais. The "Hinterglemm" and the "Leogang" round both offer 25 kilometers of slopes, which will take you around 2,5 hours to finish. And the "Tirol" round includes 22 kilometers and is very special because of the "border crossing on skis", where you can ski from the region of Salzburg to the region of Tyrol.

Interesting fact: the ski tickets start being valid from 3 p.m. onwards on the day before the starting day.
